Melori is the creative infrastructure for independent musicians — not a streaming catalog, not a marketplace, but a full-stack career operating system. We believe artists are founders, not inventory: while the industry treats music as content to be extracted, we treat musicians as professionals building sustainable careers, combining a free platform, live audio community, and direct artist-fan relationships into one sovereign ecosystem. No paywalls between you and your listeners, no opaque algorithms dictating your visibility, no platform lock-in holding your audience hostage — just genuine social connection and the tools to turn listeners into a community, and a community into a career.
Melori. Build your sound. Own your future.
Melori sells nothing. No subscriptions, no tiers, no upgrades, no checkout — every feature is open to every account. No opaque distribution algorithms and no intermediary gatekeeping standing between artists and the people who listen.
Your audience, your data, your infrastructure. Full exportability at any time. We operate on a principle of radical portability — not vendor lock-in.
Supporters are not aggregated data points. Direct messaging and unmediated engagement restore the human relationship at the center of the creative economy.
A deliberately curated catalog. No playlist-gaming filler or volume-for-volume's-sake releases. Every title in the library reflects a deliberate curatorial decision — and therefore, genuine value.
The name
Melori is two words folded into one.
Mel is melody — the line you keep humming after the song is over. It is the part of music that survives without the production around it, the thing a stranger can carry home after hearing it once.
Lori is lullaby — the first music almost anyone hears. It is sung by someone who loves them, long before they know what a genre is, what a chart is, or who owns a master.
Put together, they describe the full span of what music actually does for a person: it moves you, and it keeps you. A melody reaches out; a lullaby holds. One is performance, the other is care — and the songs that last tend to be the ones doing both at once.
That is the standard we hold this catalog to. Not what is engineered to trend for a weekend, but what someone will still play years from now and pass on to somebody else.
It is also why the platform is built the way it is. If a song is meant to stay with a listener for a lifetime, it should be easy to find and free to hear — which is why every track on Melori plays in full for every account, with nothing to buy and nothing in the way.
Melori. Melody and lullaby. Music that moves you, music that stays.
